On Saturday 13th July – Lance James, 24 of Rushden – pledged to shave his hair and beard off for the Brain Tumour Charity for the Jodie Adams Fund supporter group.

The event was held during at the Rushden & Higham Rugby club on one of the hottest days this year.

Many Rushden businesses sponsored the event with generous donations from Belkin, Sassy Belle and West End DIY to name but a few, with even more money raised during the ‘shave’ from on-lookers!

Lance said “I know 3 people who have had a brain tumour and that’s 3 too many, I just wanted to do something to help raise awareness and fund research against this devastating condition”.

£100 was raised, thank you Lance.
