Once again we are unable to book a date for the 4th Hippo Hike as the walks are all water logged.

As soon as I am able I will set a date and also a walk. We hope everyone will join us to remember Jodie on a walk she loved.

The following paragraph is about event that took place in July 2013 at Overstone Lakes and will be held again early July 2014 so an event to look out for.  One of the organisers was a former colleague of Jodie’s from Carlsberg, Emma Baker Carlsberg HR Business Partner. Hers what Emma has to say.

“For the last few years my mum, with the help of family and friends, has organised a charity coffee morning at Overstone Lakes, where she lives. For the 2013, event mum allowed me to choose which charity we would support…….it was easy for me to chose the Jodie Adams Fund for Brain Tumour Trust. I worked with the lovely Jodie at Carlsberg for a number of years and never forget her sense of fun and kindness,…..I still have the cute little hippo she gave me (see pic!); she gave me it to cheer me up when I was feeling a bit low, bless her. It sits on my window sill in my bedroom, so I see it every day.

Anyway, the event was incredibly well supported and we raised a massive £1128.20 for this great cause.

For the 2014 event, which is likely to take place early in July, we have agreed to donate all funds raised to Jodie’s charity again this year and will share more details nearer the time”.
